Supercapacitor active equalization principle
The basic principle of the active equalization technology is to use the ultra-pole capacitor as a temporary energy storage medium, charge the battery with the highest voltage to the ultra-pole capacitor, and then release the energy from the ultra-pole capacitor to the battery with the lowest voltage. equal.

 

The constant current DC-DC technology ensures that the current is constant regardless of whether the battery is charged or discharged. The advantages of this equalization solution are as follows:
1. Each time the energy is transferred, the highest compensation is taken to the lowest, which avoids invalid charge and discharge cycles and has almost no impact on battery life.
2. Cross-flow DC-DC technology ensures a constant equalization current, and will not affect the equalization ability due to the small voltage difference between the batteries.
3. It takes only two energy transfer processes to complete the equalization of the battery from high to low, and the equalization efficiency is not affected by the distance between the batteries, which greatly improves the equalization efficiency. The average efficiency is 0.95 squared to approximately 0.9.

 

 

Balance current:

The equalizing current has no fixed size, and the voltage difference of each string of batteries determines the equalizing current.

As the equalization progresses, the voltage difference also changes, and so does the equalization current.

 

Theoretically, the maximum equilibrium current follows the following rules:

every 0.1V dropout, the maximum equalizing current is 10A

 

For example

4S Equalizer, if the maximum voltage difference of the battery is 0.3V, the maximum balance current that can be measured is about 4.5A.
(0.3V/0.1V)*1.5A=4.5A

In actual measurement, this current may not necessarily be measured so accurately.

Because all batteries are balancing, that is to say, there may be current on each line, and the direction of each current may be different.

This will partially cancel the current.

APP Installation and Use

APP custom settings:1-10A, because of constant current and constant voltage technology, The balanced current is independent of the battery pressure difference.

The APP has Android and IOS version. Password: "123456"

1). IOS users download the APP : Search "Enerkey" in App Store to download

2). Android users download the APP:“http://www.enerkey.cn/” download

3). According to your battery type and battery string number, change the parameters in APP

4). In the APP, you can view the total voltage, average voltage,naximum voltage difference of the battery pack,and the voltage and line resistance information of each battery.There is also an alarm function to detect the equilibriumtemperature, MOS temperature,and battery pack temperature in real time.

 

Wiring Diagram

The use of battery power or DC adapter power supply, its wiring method is the same, only the following two differences:
1 Battery power supply support 4S-24S, voltage balancing accuracy ±3mV;
2 DC adapter power supply support 2S-24S, voltage balancing accuracy ±1mV. The following figure shows how to install and connect the 24S battery pack:

EK-24S10EB supports cascading use, and at least one battery between every two equalizers is the "common end of energy exchange". The following uses the 36S as an example to describe how to install and connect cables:

1.When used in cascade, there is at least one "energy exchange commonend" between every two equalizers. When welding, please note whetherthe connection here is correct.
